The Boatshed restaurant has carved a niche as a symbol of stylish and relaxed gastro-pub dining, with sprawling river views and an innovative, seasonal menu. Awarded QHA’s Best Restaurant in 2017, 2018 and 2019, it’s well worth the visit.
A centrepiece of the restaurant is its stunning, two-metre long flame grill, which adds a sense of theatre as guests observe the cooking of the restaurant’s signature dry-aged steaks. With a commitment to fresh, local and seasonal produce, the selection of quality steaks is complemented by a variety of mainstays, with something to suit everyone’s tastes.
Leading on from the Courtyard’s island bar, The Boatshed is stylish and relaxed, featuring eclectic wood furnishings, scattered booths, and soft, earthy textiles in rich browns, neutrals and creams, which create a warm and inviting feeling.
Now sans external roller shutters, prime river views have been revealed through sound proofed, glazed glass that encases the Boatshed, filling the restaurant with natural light and protecting it from traffic noise and emissions.
Guests can relax in dining comfort while ordering a dry- or wet-aged steak and a bottle of one of the cellar’s finest wines while they sit back, take in the river views, and soak up the ambiance.

With a solid 17 years under his belt, The Regatta Hotel’s Executive Chef, Simon Street, knows how to serve up a sensational dish. Initially training in Middle Eastern Cuisine, Simon saw the opportunity to diversify his skillset and move into larger corporate kitchens.
In 2017, Simon joined the Regatta Hotel, bringing to the plate a passion for Mediterranean cuisine and excitement for culinary innovation.
The menu is testament to Simon’s, 17–year career as a chef, with beautiful presentation, innovative flavour combinations and great composition of dishes. Simon has carefully designed our menus, which provide an innovative, broad range of dishes using fresh, seasonal produce.
