MINORS
It is hotel policy
that minors who are attending a function are allowed in the function rooms until
12am and must be accompanied by their parent or responsible adult guardian at
all times. They also will be issued with a wristband to ensure they are easily
detectable. The removal of a wristband by a minor is against hotel policy, and
the offending party and his/her parental guardian will be asked to leave the
premises. If a minor is at any stage found with an alcoholic beverage, or is
found to be showing signs of intoxication, he/she and their parent or
responsible adult guardian will be asked by hotel security to leave the venue.
Minors are not allowed access (even when accompanied by an adult) to other areas
within the hotel i.e. Main Bar, Gaming, TAB, etc. The parent or guardian will be
asked to sign a management plan on the night which outlines their
responsibilities.
SECURITY
On busy function
nights a security guard will be assigned at the top of the stairs to permit
entry to invited guests of the functions for that night. Hourly sweeps will also
be conducted through the function rooms to check on the heath and safety of
guests. Security will only be present in a function room on the request of the
client and needs to be organised at least one (1) week prior to the event with
the Functions Manager. A Hotel Duty Manager is always on site should an incident
be deemed unmanageable by a Functions Supervisor. In some circumstances extra
security will be called upon to manage situations at the request of the Duty
Manager or Function Supervisor. The hiring of a separate security guard is
charged to the client at $50 per hour.
PROPERTY
DAMAGE
The client is
financially responsible for any damage suffered to the hotel during their
function (including their set up time).
In particular no items should be thrown off the verandas and the client
must exercise appropriate control over their guests.
HOTEL POLICY
REQUIREMENTS
It is a house policy
of the Regatta Hotel that a guest may not obtain more than two drinks at the bar
at any one time. This is to help
control any RSA issues and to ensure your function guests obtain fast, effective
service from the bar or wait staff. Shots, doubles/triples and cocktails are at
no time permitted to be served in the function rooms unless approved by the
Venue Manager prior to your function.
It is house policy to
close all veranda doors from 10pm due to sound & noise restrictions. Guests are still able to enter and exit
the veranda areas, but the doors must remain closed. Decibel limits apply to ALL
music within the function rooms – please see the ‘Music & Entertainment’
section above.
Access to the function
floor is via our internal stairs. Use of the external stairwell can be used when
organised prior to your function. The Cellar Bar is only accessible by
stairs.
At the end of your
function all guests must exit the hotel via the back fire stairs. Due to Liquor
Licensing laws all guests that wish to go downstairs into the main bar must
enter back through the front entrance and be checked for ID and intoxication. No
guests will be allowed down via the internal stairwell at the end of your
function.

DRESS
REGULATIONS
Every night of the
week, all male patrons in shorts will be warned at 7pm that they will have to
vacate the premises by 8pm. At 8pm every night all male patrons in shorts must
leave the venue. After 8pm every night any patrons wearing football jerseys or
overtly branded shirts of sporting teams will not be permitted to enter the
venue (exceptions to this rule will be event days at Suncorp Stadium). Fancy
dress is allowed in the private function rooms providing basic dress standards
are adhered to – please ask the Functions Manager should you have any questions.
DEPOSIT &
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
Tentative bookings are
held for seven (7) days from the date of booking. Once seven (7) days have passed the
system will automatically cancel your tentative booking. To confirm the booking within the seven
(7) day period, the room hire fee is required as the deposit. Once paid, this amount is
non-refundable, however is transferable to another date if at least one (1)
months notice is given on the current booking. Confirmation of all catering will be due
fourteen (14) days prior to the function and payment of the balance and
confirmed numbers must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the function
date.
CONFIRMATION
OF NUMBERS
Numbers for your
function must be confirmed seven (7) days prior to your function. If numbers
decrease, the full amount for the confirmed number is still required. Your
numbers may increase up to 48 hours prior to your function depending on room
capacity and ordering requirements. In this instance, the notice of increase in
numbers must also be accompanied by the full payment for the additional
guests.
PAYMENT
Payment can be made by
credit card (using the authorisation form below), cash (in person), company
cheque (post /in person – personal cheques are not accepted) or directly into
our bank account (please contact the Functions Manager for details). All
payments need to be fully cleared into the Regatta nominated bank account by the
payment due date, including cheques and EFT payments.
If paying in person,
an appointment needs to be arranged with either the Functions Manager or
Functions Coordinator. Please make
cheques payable to ‘Liquorland (QLD) Pty Ltd’.
Should you require a
Tax Invoice please request this from either the Functions Manager or Functions
Coordinator. Pricing listed
throughout this document and on the website including (but not limited to) all
food and beverage menus is subject to change without notice.
CANCELLATIONS
The deposit paid is
non-refundable however it is transferable to another available date should you
give at least one (1) month notice.
Should your function be cancelled 2-4 weeks prior to your date your
deposit will be taken as a cancellation fee. If you cancel the function within
one (1) week from the function date, full payment of catering and room hire is
still required for the current numbers. Once you have read all of the terms and
conditions, please sign in the space below and return to the Functions Manager
or Functions Coordinator within one (1) week of confirming your
function.
