Located on the first level of the Hotel, all function rooms are air-conditioned and the ‘original’ French doors open out onto the veranda providing spectacular views of Brisbane River and City. The furniture on the verandah is alternated café style tables with dry bars & stools. There are glass bi-fold ‘sound proofed’ sliding doors between each function room. Once opened, they stack neatly against the wall. This provides the flexibility to combine rooms together or open up the entire floor. The end result of the renovations is a modern and contemporary fit out keeping with the historical old world charm of the Regatta Hotel.

The Winterford Room is located at the front of the hotel and overlooks Coronation Drive and the Brisbane River. It has its own private bar to service your guests (service staff on request) as well as access to the only designated outdoor smoking area on the functions level. Our most popular room, the Winterford books out quite quickly and is a favorite for all types of corporate events and wedding receptions.

The Thornton, Gailey and Gazzard rooms run down the Sylvan Road side of the venue, and have access onto the veranda overlooking this street. These rooms are great for seated dinners, conferences and day meetings and intimate cocktail parties. The Gazzard Room also has a ceiling mounted data projector and wall mounted screen.
Thornton Room
The Thornton Room is named after Merle Thornton who, in 1965, chained herself to the foot rail in the main bar of the Regatta to campaign for the rights of women to drink in Queensland pubs.

The Gailey Room is named after the Architect Richard Gailey who designed the Hotel in 1886. This room is ideal for Boardroom meetings and can be joined to the Gazzard and Thornton Rooms.
The Gazzard Room is named after the Contractor George Gazzard who constructed the Hotel to Richard Gailey's design.
Verandah Bar
The Verandah Bar also has a private bar and overlooks the internal courtyard and Boatshed Restaurant. This room is perfect for informal cocktail style events, networking events and engagement parties.

Cellar Bar
Situated in the original basement of the Regatta Hotel, the Cellar Bar is intimate and ambient, with the traditional “cellar” feel. The area has its own private bar, including James Squire draught beers. In keeping with the theme, seating is a mixture of barrel tables and lounge-style comfort.

Main Bar
The Back Verandah wraps around one end of the Main Bar (parallel to drive thru). Bookings in this area are complimentary, but must be confirmed seven days prior to the date of your booking. Catering is available in the Main Bar, where you can choose from Function Platters (ordering is required two weeks prior and platter must be prepaid) or you can order from the bar snacks menu on the night. Drinks are available from the Main Bar. Bookings for the Main Bar must arrive before 5pm on Fridays and 7pm on Saturdays and are also available any day during the week, subject to availability.
